How to use it

  1. 01/03

    List your milestones

    A date and a label each. Descriptions are optional and appear under the label.

  2. 02/03

    Pick a layout

    Horizontal reads best up to seven milestones. Vertical holds twelve without the labels colliding.

  3. 03/03

    Download and restyle

    Open the .pptx and change colours or fonts like any other slide — nothing is locked or flattened.

Good to know

Does PowerPoint have a built-in timeline?

It has SmartArt — Insert > SmartArt > Process — which works but is fiddly to restyle and looks unmistakably like SmartArt. This produces plain shapes you can style freely.

How many milestones fit?

Seven on a horizontal timeline before labels start colliding. Switch to vertical for anything longer.

Will it open in Google Slides?

Yes. Upload the .pptx to Drive and open it with Slides; the shapes and text import as editable objects.
