PDF to Google Slides and PowerPoint

Neither Google Slides nor PowerPoint will import a PDF. This turns every page into a full-bleed slide and hands back a .pptx that opens in any of them. The document is rendered by your own browser, so nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

  1. 01/03

    Drop the PDF in

    Every page is rendered and previewed. Deselect any page you do not want in the deck.

  2. 02/03

    Download the .pptx

    Slide size matches the PDF page shape, so nothing is letterboxed or cropped.

  3. 03/03

    Open it in Google Slides

    Upload the file to Drive, right-click it and choose Open with > Google Slides.

    PowerPoint and Keynote open the same file directly — no conversion step.

Good to know

Can Google Slides open a PDF directly?

File > Import slides accepts .pptx and other Slides files only, so no. Converting to .pptx first is the way in.

Will the text stay editable?

No, and no free converter should claim otherwise. Each page becomes a high-resolution image on its own slide, which keeps the layout exactly right. To edit the words you would rebuild that page as text boxes.

Is there a page limit?

No fixed one, but rendering happens on your machine — a 200-page PDF takes a while and produces a large file. Deselect the pages you do not need.
