Good to know

What size is a PowerPoint slide?

Since PowerPoint 2013 the default is widescreen 16:9 — 13.333 × 7.5 inches, or 33.87 × 19.05 cm. Decks made before that default to 4:3 at 10 × 7.5 inches.

What is a slide in pixels?

PowerPoint measures in inches, so pixels depend on export resolution. At the standard 96 DPI a 16:9 slide is 1280 × 720; PowerPoint exports images at 1920 × 1080.

Will changing slide size ruin my layout?

Changing size scales every element, and moving between aspect ratios re-proportions them. Set the size before you build. If you must switch late, expect to reposition images on every slide.
